Dr. Bethany Gonczy
Bethany is the owner of Diles Hearing Centers. Dr. Gonczy completed her bachelor's degree in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences and her Doctorate of Audiology both from Ohio University. She worked with various Ear, Nose, & Throat surgeons around the area before she came to work at Diles Hearing Center in January 2011. Throughout her education, she completed rotations at Marietta Memorial, WV Regional Educational Services Agency, King's Daughter's Medical Center, Dr. Gregory Krause ENT, Dr. Anil Gokhale ENT, Dr. Gorenstein ENT, Ohio University, and O'Bleness Memorial Hospital. Her favorite part about being an Audiologist is being able to help those with hearing loss to be able to freely communicate with their loved ones again. She takes a special interest in each every patient, but really loves a challenge!
She is happily married with two children to Adam Gonczy, a local elementary school teacher and high school track coach.
Dr. Kristen Mitchell
Kristen completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences and Doctorate in Audiology at Ohio University. During her education at OU, she completed placements at Ohio University’s clinic, Dr. Wade’s ENT office, Coastal Audiology, Genesis Healthcare, and Touma Ear, Hearing and Balance Center.
Her favorite part about being an audiologist is being able to help those with hearing loss connect with their family, friends and the outside world again. She believes that every patient’s situation is unique and loves being able to find the best treatment solution for them.
Kristen is from Murray City and currently resides in Nelsonville. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys staying in and watching a good movie or being active outdoors kayaking, canoeing or hiking.
Lizzie is from Athens, Ohio, and is the most recent addition to our team. She is our Hearing Aid Technician as well as our Physician Liaison. Lizzie's duties as a Hearing Aid Technician include hearing aid repairs, cleanings, physical fit modifications, etc. Her duties as a Physician Liaison include meeting with area physicians to discuss Diles Hearing Center's services as well as give educational material about hearing loss research and recent hearing aid advances.
She is happily married with two young sons and enjoys fitness, nutrition, and helping others.
Dr. Pamela Kenniston
Pam is the Practice Manager for Diles Hearing Centers. She has a Bachelor's in Communication from Plattsburgh State University, New York and holds Master's degrees in Health Communication and Health Administration from Ohio University; she also recently completed her course work for her Doctoral degree! In addition to her education, she has many years of experience in a variety of industries including education, insurance, law, and developmental disabilities. Her primary focus is to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of customer service in each of our offices. She is also responsible for marketing activities for the practice.
Pam resides in Meigs County and she spends her free time reading, cooking, and taking her dog, Izzy, on long walks.
Jere is the Patient Care Specialist at both the Athens and Jackson offices. Jere has had 25 years reception experience with Sands Hill Mining. She joined the Diles Hearing Center team in June 2014. Jere makes it her top priority to be sure that every client who enters our door feels welcome and comfortable... whether they are visiting us for the first time or just need some new hearing aid batteries!
She and her husband, Kevin, enjoy spending their weekends taking road trips on the Harley.
Katie is our full-time receptionist at our new Chillicothe location. She has lived in the Frankfort-Chillicothe area her entire life, graduating from Adena High School in 2005. She married her “high school sweetheart,” Justin. They have been blessed with two wonderful boys, Hayden and Hudson. They are her whole world and definitely keep her busy. Katie also loves spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Katie’s hobbies include camping, running 5k races for different causes, and anything to do with horses, just to name a few. She is excited to be a part of the Diles Hearing Center family.
